When your work depends on precise control of temperature, humidity, light or CO₂, MMM CLIMACELL climatic chambers provide the stable, reproducible conditions needed for applications such as stability testing, ageing studies, tissue culture and photostability trials.
The CLIMACELL chambers are constant climate chambers designed to provide users precise, repeatable environmental conditions.
The MMM CLIMACELL Range at a Glance
The test chambers are modular in design and can be configured with a choice of two control systems:
CLIMACELL ECO features a 3-inch LCD display with keypad control and can store up to 9 programs, with 2 segments per program and up to 99 cycles. This can be increased to 8 segments with the ECO PLUS extension.
CLIMACELL EVO features a 5.7-inch touchscreen with a graphical display. It can store up to 100 programs, with up to 100 segments per program. Multi-level user administration with password protection helps prevent unauthorised access, while data can be exported via SD memory card or optional USB host connection.
Temperature & Humidity Control
Temperature control: All CLIMACELL chambers offer a working temperature range of 0°C to 100°C without active humidity control, or 10°C to 90°C with active humidity control, with temperature accuracy of ±0.2°C.
Extended cooling: EVO models can be specified with an optional extended cooling function, allowing operation down to -20°C.
Humidity control: Humidity can be controlled from 10% to 98% RH.
Programmable lighting configurations
The CLIMACELL range offers a wide range of lighting configurations with programmable controlled switching on/off on the ECO line and programmable intensity (10-100%) on the EVO line. The available lighting options include:
- Fluorescent tubes in the door – up to 36,000 lux
- Fluorescent tubes in shelves – up to 23,000 lux
- LED lighting in the door – up to 21,000 lux
- White LED lighting in shelves – up to 30,000 lux
Internal capacities of the CLIMACELL chambers
There are a wide range internal capacities depending on your batch and product sizes, they are available in 111, 222, 404, 707, and 1212 litre capacities.
How CLIMACELL Climatic Chambers Help Lab Users
ICH stability and shelf-life testing - Whether you're testing pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food or packaging materials, CLIMACELL stability test chambers are built to meet ICH Q1A(R) and Q1B guidelines for stability and photostability testing, so your data holds up against regulatory standards.
Plant, tissue, and cell culture work - With programmable day/night cycles across temperature, humidity, airflow and lighting, CLIMACELL chambers can recreate natural diurnal conditions which is useful for plant and tissue culture studies.
Stress testing – The CLIMACELL can create a wide range of different environmental conditions due to the large parameter setting range it offers. This makes it suitable for pharmaceutical stability rooms, cosmetics testing, food & beverage shelf-life studies and structural or materials ageing trials.
Easy to maintain – A stainless steel (AISI 304) interior chamber with rounded corners mean cleaning and routine maintenance is quick and easy. There is the option to add a 160°C decontamination cycle on the EVO line products.
Choosing the right CLIMACELL model
The right CLIMACELL climatic chamber for your lab comes down to a few questions: How much capacity do you need? Does your protocol require supplementary lighting, CO2 control or sterilisation cycles? Do you need data export options or user logins for multi-level access?
