At Be Scientific, sustainability isn’t just a box we tick - it’s at the core of how we operate every day.
From rewilding the landscape around our rural base with wildflower meadows, to furnishing our office with upcycled furniture, and recycling every cardboard box that comes through our doors, we’re always looking for new ways to reduce our environmental impact.
That’s why we’re excited to share that we are now official members of Freecycle.org - a global grassroots movement helping people give (and get) things for free in their local community instead of sending them to landfill.
Why Freecycle?
Becoming part of Freecycle allows us to take our recycling efforts even further:
- Reusing Packaging: We now actively collect used cardboard boxes from local sources to reuse for customer despatches. Every reused box is one less that needs to be produced, and one less that ends up discarded too soon.
- Giving Items a Second Life: Any unwanted equipment, office supplies or materials we no longer need are listed on Freecycle to find a new home - keeping them out of landfill and supporting a more circular economy.
By making small changes like this, we can collectively make a big difference.
So if your order from us arrives in a box that’s had a former life — know that it’s all part of our commitment to smarter, greener practices.
